  • While using CSD Reader, there shows a message of “Unable to find MP3 encoder”. What can I do?
    •   When user selects “Export” > “Sound source for SmartEye” menu, CSD Reader shows message of “Unable to find MP3 encoder. Please download and install MP3 encode. If you want more information, please click here.”

    To create best media file for SmartEye, you need to install LAME MP3 encoder at first time.

    LAME installation:
    1. Download LAME MP3 zip file.
    2. Decompress the downloaded zip file in a folder.
    3. Among decompressed files, select “lame_enc.dll” and copy the file to CSD Reader installation folder (Commonly “C:\Program Files\D2R\CSD Reader 2008”) or to Windows System folder (Commonly “C:\Windows\System32”)
    4. After copy “lame_enc.dll”, you may delete other files.

    * The encoder is not included in CSD Reader product for the reason of license/IPR (Intellectual Property Right).


  • Is CSD S/W free of charge? Or should I pay for it?
    •   CSD S/W is distributed free of charge only for trial version.
    For the business use in enterprise or organization, the different License Policy is applied to user. Please refer to the License Policy of the Product.


  • Can I use it free of charge in the School for the purpose of studying?
    •   School is one of organizations. We can tell that using the product in a school is not for the personal purpose. Thus, for using it in schools, please purchase it under the CSD Software Policy.


  • CSD document is more liable to a virus because it is the exe file. Is there any solution to resolve such a problem?
    •   CSD Document has the Self-virus checking function for supporting the document security, so that it can be used in safety.


  • The size of CSD document is bigger than the original. It’s said that the main feature is to be much smaller than the original. What does it have problems?
    •   CSD Document has a viewer built-in, that is, the viewer code size of approximately 90KB is included in the document. Therefore, for very small size of the original, the converted document with a built-in the size of viewer code can be bigger than the original rather. The actual size of CSD Document is exclusive of the size of viewer code.


  • For using the CSD Writer, should I install the additional Printer Driver?
    •   If installing the CSD Writer, then the printer driver is added automatically. It can be used immediately without installing any other additional Printer Drivers.


  • While installing the CSD Writer, there are some warning messages such as ‘Has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP’ or ‘Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabilize the correct operation
    •   These warning messages are displayed only when the Logo testing is not passed, so that there is any serious problem in the system. However, we are in progress the Logo testing for perfect supports.


  • I would like to delete the CSD Writer. How can I delete it?
    •   There is including Uninstall program in CSD Writer. If executing the Uninstall program from [Program] -> [CSD menu] or exe file downloaded, it can be deleted automatically.


  • What kinds of document formats can be converted into CSD format?
    •   All formats available to print can be converted into CSD document because the CSD document is created by using Printer Driver. At present, it supports various applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, some kinds of Korea word processors, HTML, Adobe PDF, etc.


  • Can user edit or modify the CSD document?
    •   It is impossible to edit or modify the CSD document. Integrated viewer to be released in future would be supported for modifying, editing and copying text and image.
